Naming Led Zeppelin, Tina Turner, and Joe Cocker as primary influences, Cotton not only sings with a tone that's warm, buttery, and sexual, she pierces the sky with rock shouts, screams, and cries. Danielia is a force of nature to be reckoned with, and the sheer joy and pain she evokes in her songs draws the listener in instantly and completely. Not unlike male rock counterparts Jimi Hendrix and Sly Stone or crossover icons Mavis Staples and Tina Turner, Cotton is quite comfortable being a black rock goddess.

Took a chance on this CD after listening to the sound clips. #1 in my car for the last several weeks. The band is tight, the vocals are crisp, the song writing solid, and this little black girl definitely rocks my world! I could single out a few of my favorite cuts, but you will find your own... BUY THIS!

I was surfing the net and ran across an article about this artist. I listened to a few snippets from this album and was immediately blown away. I took my lunch break at work to go buy it along with SMALL WHITE TOWN. Rock music has been associated with mostly white artists. In the 60's we had HENDRIX, the 70's FUNKADELIC, the 80's LIVING COLOUR and LENNY KRAVITZ in the 90's. Danielia Cotton is the BOMB ! Her voice is strong as JANIS JOPLIN with the soul of TINA TURNER. The groove is bluesy with enough bottom to tear the roof off. The first single on the cd "MAKE U MOVE" is pure dope. If you are a fan of rock music, this is one you don't want to miss. From what I hear, her live show is amazing. She's coming to Atlanta on the 12 of November (which happens to be my wedding anniversary) and just this morning my wife asked me what did I wanna do for our aniversary. I called my wife once I picked up the album to tell her that I've finally come up with what I want to do. I wanna go see Daniela Cotton ! (And by the way...she's fine as hell too)

S.W.T. is an all time great so I bought this the day it came out.
I love the music, love her vocals. I thought the lyrics are a bit
too "all about her" and "issue forced" - and I have a hard time
staying intrested. It is short, but Im glad she didnt put an 8min
jam at the end to fill it up some more (just as insulting)
Still, it is better than most new music.
Get "Small White Town" it is classic.!!!
