I am from the deep south of Louisiana; however, have never picked cotton. My Arkansas husband, said he had one summer as a child. We have a week-end cabin on a lake in Arkansas that we enjoy with our four grandchildren from Alabama and Texas. Wanting the littleones to have an experience of a by-gone day, purchased three bags of cotton seed and planted them under the split-rail fencing surrounding the hill side cabin.. The seeds have sprouted already even in a less than raining summer in Arkansas.
Hopefully plants will continue to grow and be ready for dem dere cotton pick'en grandkids, next summer.

I have planted my seeds and they have come up in the pots. While I am very pleased, I can't say much about them yet. However I may be able to give a good review after they are in my garden and grown some.
